Following another great day of racing at the Nedlands Yacht Club yesterday, things are heating up on the morning of the final day, with a few more Swiss League rounds of racing before the top eight teams do battle in the finals series.

The undefeated Friends Purple still sit well on top of the ladder with a solid buffer from second place, while a number of other schools fill a pretty tightly-woven log jam from second place right past 10th.

It remains to be seen what teams will be in the finals, but it is all beginning to take shape.

The Finals Series

This year the finals series is structured slightly differently to previous years, with a similar style seen in the AFL finals being used that rewards the top four teams with a double chance.

Below is an excerpt from the sailing instructions, which shows the format of the finals. Spend some time getting yourself familiar with the structure so you’re in the loop come racing this afternoon.
