The Cliffs Resources Western Australian 125 State Championship, which will be hosted by the Esperance Bay Yacht Club over the Easter weekend, has gone into rare territory for double-handed classes in WA with an entry list of 33 boats.

With racing beginning on Good Friday and running right through until Easter Sunday, this event is believed to be a record for the 125 class in Western Australia.

Teams will not only be competing for the coveted State Championship but also in a range of other divisions such as Juniors, Masters, Family, Classic Boats and JAM (Jib and Main only).

All the various divisions are helping to draw new competitors every year and are making the class more and more attractive to sailors across the state.

With competitors ageing from 11 right through to 71, the 125 continues to succeed within the “sailing for life” mantra.
